The McLeod Family History

FORWARD
by Gordon MacLeod
Little did I realize the outcome that we would have when, almost 45 years ago now, I sent copies of the old family letters from Scotland and the early McLeod pioneers to my brother Allan in Africa, and encouraged him to do what he could to uncover our Scottish ancestors!
Allan got "bitten by the geneology bug" and over about three years, before he and Meryle came home on furlough, found living
relatives in Scotland, and uncovered something of our roots. Stanley Graham began work on the relatives in Canada and the USA, and the result was the 180 page "McLeod Family History" sent out in 1977. Three hundred copies of that book went out far and wide, and resulted in three Family Reunions at the farm in Nova Scotia, and visits over the years from dozens of new-found relatives that we would never have known had it not been for the History Project.
